Corporate finance

I am a highly experienced deal-maker and lead adviser from a corporate banking background. I am both creative and tenacious, with a track record of successful deals. The corporate finance advice that I provide is focused on enabling SMEs to complete deals in the range £3m-£75 million.

Broadly I advise on three areas as follows:

  • Acquisitions: negotiating transactions, and obtaining the funding from a wide range of sources, including private equity.
  • Disposals: finding the right buyer, and getting the right valuation.
  • Development capital: finding the right investor from a very broad contact network, and excellent relationships across private equity.

I specialise in deal origination, corporate acquisitions and disposals, working with management teams on management buy-outs/buy-ins. I am experienced in raising senior debt and acquisition finance, including equity (venture capital/private equity).

My favourite hobby
Cultivating fruit and vegetables on my allotment, also I have a regular supply of eggs from the chickens I keep.

Alternative career choice
I would love to have been a farmer, cultivating crops on a much larger scale, with all the benefits of using farm machinery, instead of the back-breaking digging. Or maybe I really just want to drive a tractor!
