I head up the corporate recovery and insolvency department in Cardiff, as well as managing the office. I specialise in providing solutions for SME companies in financial distress in South Wales and the South West of England.
I represent the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) on the Joint Insolvency Committee, the main standard-setting body for insolvency practitioners. I recently chaired the working group that assisted in the design of Statements of Insolvency Practice 3.
I am currently a member of the ACCA Council, chairing the Standards Board and am a member of the Regulatory Board and Governance Design Committee. I also provide training in insolvency matters to other accountants and solicitors.
I joined Harris Lipman in 1997 and originally qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant. In 2001 I qualified as a licensed insolvency practitioner. I then became a partner at Menzies following a merger of the two firms in 2015.
Two luxury items I’d take on a desert island
I’d take a pilot and a lear jet (well-stocked for fuel and refreshments).
Who would play me in a movie
Indiana Jones (not Harrison Ford) but he might find the movie a little too adventurous for his taste though.
