I am a Director in the Restructuring & Insolvency team with significant experience advising businesses, directors and stakeholders in situations of financial distress. I have worked in the insolvency and business recovery profession since 2009 and have significant experience across a wide range of corporate and personal insolvency and restructuring matters.
During my career, I have been involved in a spectrum of formal insolvency appointments, including administrations, liquidations and bankruptcies, as well as solvent restructuring and turnaround assignments. I also provide advisory support to company boards facing financial or operational challenges, helping directors identify key issues, asses their options. This involves working with boards to consider restructuring options or implement strategies designed to preserve value and avoid worsening the position for creditors.
I also regularly work alongside key stakeholders in complex situations, including cases involving litigation, asset realisations and investigations in order to achieve the best outcomes for creditors.
Alongside this, I have particular experience working on matters involving FCA-regulated firms. This has included advising directors and stakeholders where regulatory considerations arise, assisting with insolvency appointments involving authorised firms and liaising with the Financial Conduct Authority (“FCA”) and other professional advisers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements throughout the insolvency process. I also have experience dealing with client money matters under the FCA’s CASS rules, including identifying and safeguarding client money, assessing trust status and managing the distribution process while maintaining a clear focus on client protection and regulatory compliance.
I am experienced in identifying and managing risk in distressed situations, balancing the interests of multiple stakeholders and navigating the interaction between insolvency law and sector-specific regulatory frameworks.
I am a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and hold the Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency (CPI) as well as the Joint Insolvency Examination Board (JIEB) qualification.
I am also an active member of the Menzies Creditor Services team, working with a number of creditors on insolvency matters and providing ongoing financial viability reviews of sports clubs, primarily within the Premier League and Championship.

Your favourite past time
I am a keen runner and a member of a local running club. I also enjoy swimming and more recently track cycling. However, when I am not pounding the pavements, I love spending time with my family and walking my dog called Patrick!
