I am an accountant and insolvency practitioner specialising in complex solvent and insolvent cases. As well as being appointed on formal insolvency assignments, I also use my experience to provide advice to a wide variety of clients.
Alongside this, I lead the contentious insolvency team at Menzies, which often involves detailed investigations and working with lawyers to bring or settle claims for the benefit of creditors.
I have been involved in preparing best practice guidance for the insolvency profession and now write questions for insolvency and receivership examinations. I also have an interest in anti-money laundering through my role on a sub-committee of the Insolvency Practitioners Association (IPA).
I am co-author of Insolvency Practitioners Appointment, Duties, Powers and Liability published by Edward Elgar Publishing Limited.
I am a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3) and the IPA.
