About
I started my career in insolvency in 2007 and subsequently qualified with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Joint Insolvency Examinations Board. My work now involves a mixture of formal insolvency appointments and advisory assignments.
I am a Partner in Menzies Cardiff office, and I lead the firm’s contentious insolvency team, which involves both investigatory work and undertaking litigation for the benefit of the insolvent estate. This requires both an understanding of the law and a commercial approach to seek out the best result for creditors and other stakeholders.
As a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association (IPA), I sit on the IPA’s examinations sub-committee, as well as its anti-money laundering committee which assists the IPA in its role as a regulator. I have previously been involved in developing best practice guidance for the insolvency profession.
I am co-author of Insolvency Practitioners Appointment, Duties, Powers and Liability published by Edward Elgar Publishing Limited.
