About
I am a partner and licensed insolvency practitioner in the Menzies Business Recovery team. My work involves a mixture of formal insolvency appointments and advisory engagements, including working with businesses in regulated sectors. I take the time to listen to the financial difficulties being faced by clients and help them to formulate solutions.
I also lead the firm’s Contentious Insolvency team, which involves both investigatory work and undertaking litigation to add value to insolvent estates for the benefit of creditors and other stakeholders. I have been involved in a number of cases where substantial recoveries have been made from third parties as a result of investigations and, in some cases, bringing proceedings at court.
As a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association (IPA), I sit on the IPA’s examinations sub-committee, as well as its anti-money laundering committee which assists the IPA in its role as a regulator.
I am a co-author of Insolvency Practitioners Appointment, Duties, Powers and Liability, Second Edition, published by Edward Elgar Publishing.
Outside of my day-to-day role, I have been trying (and failing) to learn Japanese, but it’s a good excuse for a holiday to Japan!
