I head up the Menzies Transaction Services offering across all offices, as well as the Menzies Corporate Finance team, adding value to businesses either selling their own business or buying another. These transactions cover a broad range of sectors from manufacturing and facilities management through to IT software and other services.
My key objectives are to assist owner managers in achieving both their personal and corporate objectives through a transaction, generally focused on an Enterprise Value range of between £3m and £75 million.
We take a hands-on approach with clients, guiding them through all aspects of a transaction. This is very often the first or only corporate transaction that they are involved in. We always remember it is personal, and often life changing, for them.
I am so proud to assist my clients with achieving their dreams. Transactions can be complex. Managing that interaction and interface between our client and the other party and their advisers, providing advice, adding value and ultimately improving the financial outcome for clients is immensely rewarding.
Concluding a transaction makes me smile. Very often we are acting for sellers that have worked in the business we are selling for a considerable number of years. There is nothing better than concluding a transaction with the outcome that our clients are financially secure and can enjoy the next chapter of their lives with no financial concerns. The gratitude and thanks that we get from clients at that time is a true reward.
