I am a Senior Manager in the Restructuring & Insolvency Team and have vast experience of dealing with companies in financial distress, having worked in the insolvency and business recovery industry since 2009. I have nearly 17 years’ experience of working within the insolvency industry, during which time I have worked on a broad range of FCA-regulated matters. This includes formal insolvency appointments involving authorised firms, advising directors and stakeholders on regulatory considerations where FCA permissions and client money issues arise, and liaising with the FCA and other professional advisers to ensure compliance with regulator requirements throughout the insolvency process.
I am experienced in identifying and managing regulatory risk, balancing competing stakeholder interests, and navigating the interaction between the insolvency law and the FCA’s regulatory framework. I have particular experience in identifying, safeguarding and distributing client money in accordance with the FCA’s CASS rules, this includes assessing trust status, ensuring appropriate segregation and liaising with the FCA and key stakeholders throughout the process, with a clear focus on client protection, regulatory compliance and achieving pragmatic compliant outcomes.
I am a qualified member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accounts (FCCA) and have completed the Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency qualification (CPI).
Throughout my career I have worked on a variety of corporate and personal insolvency cases which often involves litigation in order to achieve the results for creditors. I have also dealt with complex solvent and turnaround assignments.
I am also an active member of the Menzies Creditor Services team. I have worked with a number of creditors on various insolvency cases and have also provided an ongoing review of the financial viability of sports clubs, primarily premiership and championship football clubs.

Your favourite past time
I am a keen runner and a member of a local running club. I also enjoy swimming and more recently track cycling. However, when I am not pounding the pavements, I love spending time with my family and walking my dog called Patrick!
