11-15 July 2022 marked Menzies second firmwide Make A Difference Week, where all our partners and staff have the opportunity to take a day to give back to the community.
This year’s theme was ‘Making A Difference Together.’ Our inaugural Make A Difference Week was somewhat hampered by COVID, which reduced the number of group activities we were able to undertake.
We undertook over 30 activities throughout the week – with 235 staff taking part – this equates to 1,762 hours – a whopping 103% increase from last year!
2022 saw the return of group activities with a vengeance, with many different activities undertaken across the firm. Here are some examples of what we did:
Shooting Star Apprentice Challenge
Menzies teams took a few of Shooting Star’s charity shops for the day, promoting the charity and raising funds – which included fancy dress, lucky dips and raffles!
Shooting Star is a leading children’s hospice charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families.
A total of £2,477 raised – well done to everyone!

AND SO MUCH MORE…
We also spent the week; Balsam bashing in Bute Park, and at Swingbridge Community Boats, tidying the gardens at The Rainbow Centre, clearing the grounds at The Orpheus Centre, and litter picking all around.
We would like say a huge thank you to the organisations that had us for the week, as well as a thank you to our Make a Difference Week Champions …
