10-14th July 2023 marked Menzies third firmwide Make A Difference Week, where all our partners and staff have the opportunity to take a day to give back to the community.
We undertook over 30 activities throughout the week – with 235 staff taking part – this equates to 1,762 hours – a whopping 103% increase from last year!
2023 was no different to last year, with tons of activities across the firm to get stuck in to, and as the choice was up to each individual, it encouraged staff to meet new faces and enjoy the day in a different environment! Here are some of the photos that were taken across the week:
Woking & Sam Beare
Woking & Sam Beare Hospice and Wellbeing Care is a charity that cares for thousands of patients and their
carers and families each year. We spent the week taking part in a ‘store wars’ across their 3 stores, and upcycling furniture to sell in their shops.
Kentish Town Farm
KTCF is a charity that helps connect inner city people
with animals, nature and the environment. We offer a wide range of educational,
therapeutic and creative opportunities to children, adults with special needs, and
anyone who is stressed by city living.
Motiv8
Motiv8 supports young people into training and employment opportunities through work experience, traineeships, apprenticeships, volunteering, and more.
The Therapy Garden
The Therapy Garden works to have a positive and significant impact on the lives of people facing challenges in life, changing lives for the better by creating a safe environment.
Bute Park
Bute Park is a Green Flag site and a CADW Grade 1 listed park, with a superb tree collection, natural play features, a visitor centre, three cafes, and a wealth of horticulture and wildlife.
