About
I am a Tax Partner at Menzies, advising businesses on maximising tax efficiencies. I also head up the firm’s Technology sector.
I assist our clients in a number of ways, from ensuring they meet their compliance requirements to providing proactive advice and ensuring that they structure themselves in the right way to build value. My tax specialisms, include restructuring, due diligence work and acquisition/sale advice, as well as tax issues affecting scale up businesses (including tax efficient investment funding, such as EIS and share rewards for employees) particularly in the technology sector. I enjoy building relationships with clients through the whole life cycle of their business.
I am always happy when I receive referrals for new work from people I have worked with before, and particularly when we have been able to demonstrate the value of the advice we have provided. One example was the implementation of a tax efficient share scheme for employees, which then allowed them to benefit from the sale of the business alongside the main shareholders they had shared the journey with.
At work, I enjoy collaborating with others to achieve results, and having the opportunity to develop people. Outside of work, I enjoy playing sport, listening to music, socialising and watching football.
