About
I am a Partner at Menzies in our Outsourcing team providing Finance Function support to SMEs. This can be anything from supporting bookkeeping and VAT compliance activities, to helping design robust, efficient and automated finance functions, all the way through to providing insight through data, high quality reporting, financial projections and strategic guidance and ‘challenge’ to our clients.
I love what I do and working with ambitious SMEs. But for me it’s really important to build a strong relationship with clients built on trust and working as a genuine ‘partnership’. One of our most important roles is to listen and empathise, and know the people behind the business, and what drives them personally. Understanding their aspirations and drivers for doing what they do is intrinsic to how we advise the business.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my career to date at Menzies, starting as a trainee from University to now being a Partner. I’ve had a number of people at Menzies that have supported me throughout my journey and so I am very proud to provide the same support and guidance, and of seeing my colleagues develop through their career paths too.
Outside of work I enjoy the gym, sports and living near the Sea!

My most embarrassing work moment
A colleague thought it would be funny to put my desk phone inside a shoe and replace this on the receiver. I took a call and answered my shoe with a ‘Hello, Menzies’ without even realising!
