About

I am a Manager in the Restructuring & Insolvency team and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (“FCCA”).

I have vast experience managing complex corporate insolvency cases, including those within regulated industries, and involving a high level of stakeholder management. This experience has included reviewing and implementing wind-down plans, obtaining the appropriate consents from the FCA, and advising clients on their rights to claim compensation from the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. Most notably, I managed the liquidation of an independent Lloyd’s insurance intermediary operating a Non-Statutory Trust (NST) regime under Chapter 5 of the FCA’s Client Assets Sourcebook (CASS). This appointment involved compliance with the FCA’s post-failure client asset distribution rules and adherence to the guidance set out in FCA Finalised Guidance FG21/4. Throughout the engagement, I liaised closely with the FCA, providing regular updates and consulting on matters including consents, waivers, and overall strategy.

I also deal with Board advisory and turnaround projects. I am passionate about advising companies who are facing financial challenges and problem-solving. This includes conducting solvency reviews, producing financial reports, cash flow forecasting, and options analysis. I support clients through what is often a very stressful period, with proactive solution-focused communications, a strong technical knowledge base and a focus on empathy & kindness.

Having joined Menzies as a graduate trainee myself in 2016, I am passionate about the development and growth of junior members of staff, and I am proud to be able to help shape the careers and nurture the talents of current and future trainees within the firm.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing sport, especially squash and padel, and being generally active. I love spending time at home in Cardiff and at my family’s caravan in West Wales with my husband & dog. I like to unwind with a good book & a good TV series!

If you have a financial challenge and need advice and support, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
