“I am a Tax Manager at Menzies LLP within the private client tax team. My client base varies from owner managed businesses, high net worth individuals and landlords.
I specialise in owner managed businesses(OMB) which includes partnerships, company directors, and the self-employed. I help my clients by advising on various tax matters such as income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax succession planning. This approach helps my clients achieve their short- and long-term goals in the most efficient manner.
There are various things I am proud of while working at Menzies. One thing that stands out is when I advised a family of how to structure their affairs with an inherited property that had development potential. The advice provided ensured they had the right business vehicle for their situation to obtain the best post tax receipts ensuring their parents left a greater legacy behind.
When not working you will find me on the golf course hacking the ball around with varied levels of success.
