I am a Director within Menzies and lead our Tax Disputes and Disclosures (TDD) service line. The TDD team assist clients who have fallen behind with their UK tax reporting obligations, either intentionally or unintentionally. The team specialises in negotiating the best settlement terms with HMRC on our client’s behalf and manage various aspects of taxation for individuals, owner-managed businesses and companies.
The team specialises in resolving long-running or difficult tax investigations, and making disclosures for clients in a variety of ways including COP9, COP8, the WDF and the LPC. In the most serious cases, a client following TDD guidance will avoid prison for tax evasion offences. The TDD experts also help clients extract themselves from tax avoidance arrangements. Given the range of cases TDD can assist with, our clients come from a wide range of backgrounds.
In my career I have worked for specialist TDD teams of varying sizes and so the opportunity to build and lead my own team at Menzies has allowed me to bring the best of those experiences together in one place. I am incredibly proud of the team and individual accolades I have been fortunate enough to have been recognised for so far in my career, but working in an innovative team who continually deliver excellent results for our clients brings me the greatest satisfaction.
There are a number of things in my life that bring me joy, but none more so than spending time with my young family.
