I am an Assistant Tax Manager at Menzies LLP specialising in the taxation of individuals. My role within the private client tax team involves managing a varied portfolio of clients spanning legal firms and their members, landlords, directors & high net worth individuals.
I have a broad range of expertise which includes taxation of partnerships, particularly within the legal sector, Making Tax Digital for Income Tax, capital gains tax reporting and transactions involving private companies. I also advise on owner-managed businesses and employment tax matters, covering remuneration planning, P11D compliance and PAYE Settlement Agreements, ensuring clients receive practical advice tailored to their personal and commercial objectives.
Being a trusted advisor to me means treating my clients like individuals, not commodities. By developing a strong relationship, the foundation of trust is formed from which I can successfully introduce new ideas and points of view. Being challenged with insightful advice is far better received when built on a robust engagement. I am then empowered to deliver thoughtfully articulated advice that serves a client’s best interests and allows me to demonstrate Menzies’ core values in practice.
I am a family man and a fitness enthusiast. When not at my desk, you will find me spending time with my wife and kids or in the gym working towards my latest fitness goals.
