I am a Partner within Menzies, London office, and have significant experience across a broad range of the restructuring and insolvency spectrum, with a particular focus on providing wind down solutions to funds, trusts, and regulated clients.
My work also involves leading corporate simplification projects, working with clients to prepare and implement tailored plans focussed on the identification and removal of blockers to entity elimination, helping them to achieve their optimal structure. In addition, I assist clients with managed exit projects, facilitating them exiting a non-core business or location in an orderly manner.
A significant element of my work involves delivering solutions to international clients and, alongside my UK matters, I undertake formal appointments across multiple key offshore jurisdictions.
I have recently led several high-profile and complex assignments including:
· Formal insolvencies of several listed life science and biotech entities, maintaining continuity of the businesses as far as possible to stabilise positions and, in one scenario, returning control of the group to the directors after achieving a full return to creditors and preserving value for shareholders
· The solvent managed exit of an regulated financial services business including resolution of client monies matters, execution of a tailored wind-down plan including cancellation of permissions.
I am involved with the mentoring of new insolvency professionals and regularly contribute to training sessions and articles on behalf of regulatory bodies. Outside of work, I am kept busy with my family including three young children and dog.
