About
I’m an audit partner at Menzies LLP, making sure that our clients, no matter how big or small, get a brilliant service, and get to work with a firm that’s friendly, down to earth and just plain good value for money. Most people are looking for technical expertise. That, or someone to be a sounding board before any big decisions are made. I’m happy to help in any way I can.
I work almost exclusively with not-for-profit organisations and have done for over thirty years, beginning my journey as a trainee with EY, then moving to the Audit Commission. I am Head of Social Housing at Menzies and lead an enthusiastic specialist team which enjoys working in this interesting sector.
I joined Menzies through our merger in 2025, having been an Executive Partner in Beever and Struthers, leading our firm to join Menzies. I also contribute outside the firm through policy and governance committees, influencing sector practice and regulation. These include the ICAEW Practice Committee, the housing sector Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) working party and the ICAEW Social Housing Committee.
And it was largely because of all this work that I was awarded ‘Best Financial Leader” by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. A very proud moment. In my time outside work, I love to travel – especially anywhere near the sea so I can swim – and city trips with my camera in hand. At home, I love to read, bake, garden and watch good boxsets (recommendations always welcome!). I also give back through charity trustee and audit committee membership roles.
