About
I am an ESG Director at Menzies, having joined after the merger with Grain Sustainability, where I was Joint Managing Director.
At Menzies, I support organisations with sustainability assessments, planning, and implementation with the aim to create a positive impact on people and the planet, while increasing stakeholder engagement and providing competitive advantage. A well-considered ESG approach can enhance top and bottom-line growth and create supply chain robustness while maintaining strong financial controls and performance.
As a B Leader, I support companies to become B Corps, and I serve on the board of 1% for the Planet, through which businesses give 1% of revenue to environmental nonprofits. Training really enthuses me, and I regularly deliver Carbon Literacy courses as well as the Climate Fresk, a 3-hour workshop to learn about climate science and to galvanise action on climate change.
You can spot me as a frequent speaker on sustainability at industry events and I’ve appeared on BBC News half a dozen times.
I love living in green Metroland, at the other end of the Metropolitan Line from the Menzies London office, where I spend time with my family and pets. On my days off, I write fiction, nonfiction, and memoir. My work has been published in the UK, the US (my native country), and Australia. In the 1990s, I lived in Bologna for 7+ years and I speak fluent Italian.
