I am an accountant with extensive experience working in the insolvency and restructuring sector. I have worked across a range of sectors and different size businesses, from relatively small-scale solvent liquidations to complex cases of an international nature. I am known for my technical expertise, as well for giving clear and concise advice.
I also enjoy undertaking, with the challenges they bring, insolvency-related forensic investigation work and litigation support roles.
I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990 and immediately specialised in insolvency. I became a licensed Insolvency Practitioner in 2000. I joined Menzies as a partner in 2011.
I am authorised to act as an Insolvency Practitioner by the Insolvency Practitioners Association (IPA), am a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW) and am also a member of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3). I have been a Council member of the IPA and was chair of its Finance Committee. I currently sit on its Disciplinary and Appeals Committee.
My favourite hobby
Music and supporting the best band in the world – Ned’s Atomic Dustbin.
Which actor would play me in a movie
I’m regularly mistaken for Harry Enfield, so he seems like the obvious choice, plus I’m sure he could put an amusing spin on some of my life experiences.
