I am a Manager within the Menzies audit and assurance team and oversee a portfolio of clients in a variety of industries, including a number of companies who require an audit for the first time. I have a lot of experience within the shipping and maritime industry, having worked with shipowners, shipbrokers, technical managers, fishers, maritime payments services, and more.
As well as understanding ISA’s, it is as important to me to understand the wants and needs of business owners, and how we fit into their operations. Undergoing an audit, particularly for the first time, can be daunting and communication is everything.
I always get a kick out of learning, and my personal highlights so far are centred around assisting with complex reporting areas or transactions. I particularly enjoyed assisting a large multinational FCA registered ship payment group to transition from UK reporting standards to international reporting standards.
There are a number of things outside of my job that bring me joy. Most weekends I’ll be trying something new in the kitchen or attempting some sort of small DIY project. I am also fan of Everton FC and live music.
