How about skipping Uni in favour of gaining professional qualification? Whilst many Menzies trainees are graduates, every year we also accept applicants who have previously studied to college level, to complete the AAT fast-track (association of accounting technicians) qualification.
We pay all the costs towards your professional exams. This includes training courses, manuals, textbooks and examination fees for first sitting. Whilst you are studying for your professional qualification, you will provided with paid study leave to attend courses and exams, and we pay for your training manuals and textbooks for the first sitting, this is in addition to your 23.5 days annual holiday.

EARN WHILE YOU LEARN
Apply nowACA (Chartered Accountant)
All of our ACA (Chartered Accountant) trainees work in small client assignment teams of three or four people. As you progress, you will be given more responsibility, so that by your second year, for example, you will already be supervising other trainees.
ATT (Accounting Technician)
Our AAT (Accounting Technician) and ATT (Tax Technician) trainees have early exposure to client work, performing an essential role in support of accountants and tax advisors, to meet their clients’ needs.
AAT Qualification
The AAT qualification is an excellent access point to our industry and provides a strong grounding in accounting. starting with the basics and ramping up the complexity of the exams through levels three and four. it takes around two years to complete whilst you are also gaining experience of working in the profession.
Following completion of AAT, the majority of our trainees are offered the opportunity to apply to study ACA.

Learning and Development
At Menzies we have a dedicated team of Learning and Development professionals within the HR Team who oversee our development programmes. Our knowledgeable team can guide you to find internal or external training provision or coaching to suit your needs and interests. They focus on creating learning solutions that enable Menzies colleagues to achieve their best.
We also provide comprehensive induction and onboarding events. These ensure that new joiners assimilate into our organisation by being equipped with vital information and resources to enable them to integrate into their work environment, regardless of whether they are straight out of College/University or an experienced hire.
For all, our learning provision is provided under the auspices of the Menzies Academy – our internal training hub. The Academy, which was set up in 2018, has grown to nurture the advancement and career progression of all trainees and professional staff within Menzies.
