I am a Tax Partner within Menzies advising a wide range of businesses. I specialise in advising owner-managed businesses and their shareholders, including businesses in the property and hospitality sectors.
As tax has become increasingly more complex it is extremely rewarding to be able to assist clients in navigating those complexities and help them to achieve their commercial and personal goals.
I enjoy working with entrepreneurial businesses and in particular when viewing tax over the life-cycle of a business. From start-up to exit planning, anticipating clients’ tax needs is both a challenging and rewarding part of the role, working with clients and other advisers to achieve a particular outcome. My work includes tax efficient investment funding, employee share rewards, restructuring, succession planning and business sales.
I have worked with many talented individuals over the course of my career. I am particularly proud of the role that I have been able to play in coaching more junior members of my team over the years. Watching them develop into rounded professional advisers and have fulfilling careers is something that is extremely satisfying to see.
Outside of work I enjoy practising yoga and travelling to a wide range of far-flung destinations, particularly where this involves new food experiences.
