Menzies has reached the final list of the inaugural Accountancy Age - Best Employers survey, which sets out to identify and recognise the best ten accountancy firms to work for in the UK.

The project is a joint effort between Accountancy Age and Best Companies Group. UK firms entered a two-part process, including an evaluation of their policies, systems, philosophies and demographics. The second part, worth 75% of the total evaluation, consisted of an employee survey to measure their experience.

Mike Sands, Senior Partner, said: "As a major employer in the region, we are delighted to receive this independent recognition. We invest heavily in accountancy training, and take on around 20 trainees every year. We are proud of the effort that has gone into creating our career development structure and our new management development programme, so it is very reassuring to receive such positive feedback from our staff."

The highest-ranked practice will be revealed at the British Accountancy Awards on 30 November at Old Billingsgate Market. These are the only awards dedicated to the accountancy profession in practice, rewarding outstanding performance and innovation across the sector, from small local firms to the larger regional, national and global players.
