I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2007 and have since then thoroughly enjoyed looking after the compliance and advisory needs of my clients; predominantly small and medium sized business in a range of sectors.
As manager in the audit and assurance team at our offices in Leatherhead, I am responsible for my portfolio of owner managed businesses together with a number of large audit clients with an international aspect. In addition to co-ordinating and facilitating a smooth audit process, I aim to build a good understanding of the personal and business aspirations of my clients. Moreover being part of top 50 accountancy practices prior to Menzies has meant that I have gained an expert understanding of the issues facing small and medium sized businesses and have also developed a flair for other service lines such as taxation, corporate finance and outsourcing. This experience has enabled me to provide my clients with the support and guidance they require on various technical, commercial, financial, operational and strategic matters.
I have recently joined the firm’s Business Services Sector which focuses on clients in legal, financial services, recruitment and advertising & media. In addition to collaborating with clients and contacts in this sector, the aim of the business services team is to help clients find solutions to key issues and to build efficiencies within the sector with a view to achieving sustainable growth.
Having been a visiting faculty of the accounting and finance team at Kingston University for a few years, nurturing and developing talent has always been something that gives me a great sense of satisfaction. I am actively involved in assisting partners, senior managers and the Menzies training academy with the training and mentoring programs for aspiring junior members of the team be it AAT trainees or those in pursuit of their ACA.
