I am one of our risk and assurance partners, with over 35 years’ experience of providing audit and advisory services to clients of all sizes.
I am also head of the firm’s Charities and Not for Profit sector group, holding the Profession’s Diploma in Charity Accounting. I act for many organisations, where the level of input varies according to the complexity of their affairs, and the needs of the trustees.
I advise not-for-profit clients on their governance, risk management, internal controls systems, and have given training sessions to trustees.
As well as external audit, I have acted as Chief Internal Auditor and managed internal audit teams in the public sector.
Prior to becoming a partner at Menzies, my early career was spent with a Big Four accountancy practice.
My first job
Whilst at school, my weekend job was working in the local butchers, where I helped make sausages for Kent’s, then a champion sausage producer.
Which actor would play me in a movie
George Clooney, of course!
