I have over 30 years’ experience in payroll services, working on both in-house payrolls and payroll bureaux. I joined Menzies in 2000, to manage the payroll bureau. It has grown considerably over the years, when I joined it only had 280 payroll clients, today it has over 1200.
My first payroll position was for the Victoria Wine Company, processing the staff payroll for over 5,000 employees. One of the perks of this was the weekly staff sales of wine used for tasting by the buying department, we could purchase an opened bottle of wine for just 10 pence!
From Victoria Wine I moved to Logia CMG Payroll Bureau, managing a team of 12 and working on blue chip client’s payrolls.
Whilst at Logica I studied for the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals Diploma in Payroll Management and successfully qualified in 1999.
