MTD and VAT: Preparing for Making Tax Digital

Businesses trading above the VAT registration threshold must comply with the Making Tax Digital (MTD) rules from 1 April 2019.

This is a major change for businesses and will involve:

  • Keeping VAT records in a suitable digital format
  • Submission of VAT returns to HMRC using Making Tax Digital (MTD) compatible software

We will be holding a number of free MTD Workshops during November 2018 to help our clients prepare, covering; an overview of Making Tax Digital, the key issues faced by businesses and the practical steps that can be taken to prepare for the changes.

The workshops will be hosted by specialists from our VAT and Outsourcing teams, who have in-depth knowledge of the MTD rules.
